This is the typical type of photography that happens when you fire up your phone’s camera app and push that big center button. In this incredibly short amount of time, the aperture of the lens opens to allow light to hit the sensor of the camera. In “regular photography”, we’re probably used to setting a shutter speed of somewhere between 1/60th of a second and 1/4000th of a second. These types of photos are achieved through the process of long exposure photography. ![]() This isn’t done through heavy photoshop editing, or a feature reserved exclusively in high-end cameras. Maybe even those photos of mesmerizing light trails? “Gives a new feeling to nightlife doesn’t it?” ![]() “See how the waves are smooth around the rocks?” ![]() Or how about water that looks unrealistically smooth like clouds. “This bridge in SF is packed 24/7 – it usually takes an hour to cross on a regular weekday”
